In the last thirty years, homosexuality has been fully integrated in capitalist structures. What was first an approach to conquer heterosexual hegemony in society has now become a self-sustaining marketing strategy, sexually, in gay commodity fetishism, but also artistical- ly, in fetishization of queer subjects, as fashionable and well-selling genre on the art market. Neoliberal promises of the individuation have long replaced what once was ‚community‘. In the installation „Pottery Porn“, these promises mask themselves as what seems to be the most frequently encountered manifestation for especially male same-sex target groups and reproduced fetishized object since the AIDS-crisis: Calvin Klein underwear.
