High heels, Make-up, Wig, Bottle of sparkling wine
Duration approx. 40 minutes
Beginning in the form of a common lecture, the perfor- mer starts to transform his appearance and the space. By chasing the audience from their seats, rearranging the set-up of the room, playing with aesthetic clichés of queer artistic subjects, and performance genera, currents trends in art and queer theory, „Y didn’t U tell me that I loved U?“ constantly shifts the relationship of lecturer and audience from expectations from following the reading to wrecking the visual consumption of performative gestures. An understanding of asociality in performative praxis is hanging above their respective heads: Is this all a farce?
